Description The job holder is responsible for:
Coordinate and support with the implementation and maintenance of an effective Compliance Management System for all relevant areas as described by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services India Private Limited. This is to be in accordance with corporate requirements and local laws and regulations. This includes ensuring:Compliance risk assessments, performance monitoring and reporting on status and risk-mitigating measures, if applicable.Support to local management in assuming and executing its responsibility to implement and maintain an effective Compliance program at the unit level in accordance with corporate Compliance Program requirements and local laws and regulations.Compliance and Integrity awareness at the unit level.Obtaining support and collaboration from management and all employees.Effective governance structures and procedures for compliance and integrity oversight and management, including defined accountability for compliance responsibilities.Implementation and maintenance of clear standards of business and ethical conduct consistent with Mercedes-Benz corporate standards.Implementation of risk-based control procedures based on Mercedes-Benz Compliance standard.Ongoing, effective communication and training on compliance requirements for both internal stakeholders as well as external business partners.Serve as support and Deputy to the Chief Compliance Officer.Main Tasks: Provide communication, guidance and local consultation regarding Compliance and Integrity obligations.Based on central IL training plan identify local training needs and develop local training plan; liaise with local Management, DCO/RCO and central IL/C departments regarding delivery to have all relevant employees trained according to corporate standards.Conduct risk-oriented trainings (act as multiplier) and ensure documentation accordingly.Monitor and report on effectiveness of Compliance Management System to local Management and DCO/RCO independently from entity management and monitor compliance of and within the entity independently.Monitor, facilitate and report on integrity, compliance and remediation activities, as applicable, aggregate and analyze compliance issues and trends, and provide entity summary to local Management and DCO/RCO.Support and verify annual and ongoing compliance risk assessments for the entity/business unit area (ICRA+/CIC).Participation in centrally organized meetings and trainings.Support on HR Compliance issues.Coordinate compliance activities with local management.Qualifications Degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.Proven or appropriate experience in compliance, legal or regulatory services.Strong understanding of compliance regulations and best practices.Appropriate knowledge in applicable international and local laws (Anti-corruption, Anti-Money Laundering, Data Compliance), Sanctions Lists and other applicable regulations and generally accepted CMS framework agreements.Professional qualification on responsible leadership, compliance or corporate sustainability is an advantage.Knowledge in applicable international and local laws (Sanctions).Knowledge in applicable international and local laws (AML & CTF).Basic know-how of the information security related aspects.Experience: Preferably with a minimum of 5 years business experience, sufficient stature within the organization to exert influence and credibility.Demonstrated integrity within entity/business unit and detailed knowledge of Mercedes-Benz Integrity Code and other relevant internal policies, guidelines.Familiarity with corporate and local Mercedes-Benz business practices and sales processes.Comprehensive knowledge and experience with change management and compliance, applied business ethics, culture change and communication.Experience in compliance (related) function, counseling of internationally operating enterprises.Experience with regulatory compliance requirements which arise out of local (financial/banking) supervision authorities.Critical and soft skills knowledge: Fluent in spoken and written English & local language.Management and Leadership skills, including the ability to articulate Mercedes-Benz standards and expectations as outlined in the relevant policies and codes, and ensure that these are applied consistently to the local situation.Strong communications, training & facilitation skills.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and investigative skills.Ability to conduct didactically oriented trainings.Intercultural understanding and knowledge.Quick and strong learning ability.Comprehension of processes and business models of the entity.Knowledge of FCPA and other applicable anti-corruption laws, regulations and standards, and expectations as outlined in the relevant Mercedes-Benz policies and codes.Application-oriented IT system knowledge.Affinity and strong interest in integrity topics.OrganizationMercedes-Benz Financial Services India Private Limited
