Key Responsibilities: Provide businesses with legal guidance and strategies to prevent, manage, and resolve multifaceted legal disputes. Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case development, prepare legal arguments, and ensure thorough case representation. Manage all stages of litigation independently, including drafting pleadings, handling discovery, conducting depositions, and representing clients in court and arbitration. Advise businesses on structuring their organization's policies, goals, and legal procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Draft, evaluate, and finalize legal documents essential to the day-to-day operations of businesses, including contracts, agreements, and reports. Represent clients in negotiations related to contracts, business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and settlement agreements. Monitor and address any potential or ongoing legal issues, ensuring timely reporting to the appropriate entities. Balance and oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, each with unique legal needs and timelines, ensuring effective and timely management of all cases. Requirements: A minimum of 4 years of experience handling civil litigation, particularly in areas like class action defense, employment law, and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) cases. Proven ability to manage cases independently from intake through to trial, including all aspects of litigation and arbitration. Exceptional research, writing, and drafting skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop legal strategies and lead cases to successful resolutions. Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing. Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable outcomes in contracts, mergers, acquisitions, and settlements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and colleagues. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Must be an active member of the California State Bar. Certifications: Relevant certifications in civil litigation or business law are advantageous but not required. Desired Skills: Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to guide legal teams and independently manage a significant caseload. Attention to detail and the ability to think critically about complex legal matters. Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and effectiveness.
