Position: Latin American Sales Specialist
Responsibilities and Impact: The Sales Specialist's main responsibility is to support renewals and drive new business within Global Intelligence and Analytics.
The Sales Specialist will leverage their experience in the Latin American market to efficiently build user stories that meet individual client needs, shorten sales cycles, solve business challenges, and position the benefits of the S&P suite of solutions to the unique persona profiles of their target sector.
A keen understanding of multiple sectors including Government, Financials, and Corporates is essential.
They will penetrate existing relationships and leverage their network to connect with decision makers, stakeholders, influencers, and users across the industry.
Renew and upsell the GIA assets to achieve and exceed targets.Understand the unique value proposition that the GIA assets represent, and communicate the ROI.Sell solutions rather than products, identifying customer pain points that can be addressed.Work with Solution Engineering and Marketing teams to identify new business and white space opportunities.Prepare and deliver in-person presentations to senior audiences, including VP and C-level decision makers.Focus on new business acquisition, qualifying or disqualifying opportunities.Identify revenue drivers and metrics to increase account volume, profit, and penetration.Understand the solution sales cycle and challenges, including competitor tactics, and refine sales strategies accordingly.Prepare proposals, contracts, and other documentation including trial agreements and NDAs as needed.Prioritize customer satisfaction by maintaining effective interpersonal relationships with all customers, handling billing, and contractual questions.Travel regularly within the defined territory to exceed sales objectives.Maintain CRM discipline, updating all deals regularly for accurate forecasting and visibility across the business line.Provide ongoing feedback from clients to Sales and Product Management.What We are Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.At least 3 years of sales experience.Demonstrated success in closing large and complex sales, involving multiple stakeholders and challenging negotiations.First language Spanish speaker, fluent in English and Portuguese.About S&P Global Market Intelligence:
