About the job Oikocredit's Country Office Argentina is looking for an Investment Officer (40 hours) to be based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Investment Officer is part of the Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay (BAP) team and reports to the Investment Manager.
The Investment Officer will work with internal and external experts as required in the best interests of our partners and Oikocredit. He/she will act as a relationship manager, translating market developments and client needs into opportunities to create impact and do business. Although specialised in a specific sector, the Investment Officer is conversant with Oikocredit's strategy, sectors and its products & services.
Main responsibilities Support of the Building, maintaining and monitoring a portfolio of investments with focus in Argentina Co-responsibility for the country´s portfolio performance and quality check of new proposals Identifying the needs and opportunities that would benefit from the financial resources made available by Oikocredit Supporting to the Sr. Investments Officer the due diligence and preparing proposals, supporting the closing of deals and disbursements, monitoring and supporting capacity building projects. Focusing on commercial activities and working closely together with specialists at regional level Responsibility for maintaining the local networks; representing Oikocredit at conferences and events Qualifications Degree in the field of finance and banking, business administration or economic development Two to four years' experience in banking, market analysis and economic development with a proven track-record of sourcing, structuring and closing investments In-depth knowledge of inclusive finance and social impact Strong analytical skills Familiarity with financial analysis using advanced financial modelling. Solid understanding of and ability to evaluate company financial statements. Good business acumen and strong interpersonal skills. Extensive user skills of Microsoft Excel and computer literacy in general Excellent written and verbal command of English Desirable Experience in impact financing and more particularly in financial inclusion, agriculture and renewable energy Field experience in Argentina Experience in foreign lending, capital markets, securitization, trade finance
