Job Description - International Supply Chain Quality Management (MER0003E06) Group: Mercedes-Benz Group AG
Objective of Job As the Mercedes-Benz representative at the JV plant BBAC, you will be responsible for international supply chain quality management to handle logistics claims for imported components. Main tasks include analyzing the claim, transferring it to the relevant responsible parties, pushing for problem-solving, closing the claim, and ensuring BBAC production. The default place of work is at Beijing Yizhuang.
Main Tasks Provide a central point of contact and work as coordinator for logistic claims (missing/wrong/damaged) at BBAC plants concerning import deliveries from Mercedes-Benz AG.Conduct expert assessments and liaise internally with different Mercedes-Benz departments (QM, packaging planning, etc.) or with external parties (logistics service providers, forwarding companies) for imported purchased parts and in-house parts supplied by Mercedes-Benz AG to BBAC.Be responsible for claim analysis (onsite check, unpack audit, etc.), claim placement to possible causers, and closing of claims. Moreover, claim management support should ask for countermeasures from internal or external suppliers and track for realization.Enter the complaint in Mercedes-Benz "GSS" IT-System and approve it: Receive and analyze claims from BBAC plant to Mercedes-Benz AG (claims created by BBAC), place claims to internal or external suppliers, and coordinate the claim process until claims are closed.Create financial reports on a monthly basis and prepare reporting for management level (regular meetings, escalated issues, special cases, etc.).Qualifications Education:
• Master/Bachelor of Engineering area
Experience and Knowledge:
• 3 years of work experience in supply chain or quality management in an international environment
• Broad knowledge in the area of automotive
• Skills in supplier process analysis and problem solving based on the 8D process
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong quality sense with high proactive motivation, always seeking for continuous improvement
• Fluent in English & Chinese; German skills are a plus
