Interior Trim Parts Engineer

Job Description - Interior Trim Parts Engineer (MER0003CG9) Description Integration in cross-functional team which forms an interface between German headquarter of research and development, local and international suppliers and the JV BBAC with main focus task on:
China specific development with focus on innovation, new material and sustainability for trim parts with the local/international suppliers.Responsible for interior trim part technical information maintain and update, project coordination and timeline tracking to reflect MB and BBAC requirement.Lead and coordinate activity for development, innovation and sustainability with MGs/BBAC/ PP/suppliers.Responsible for engineering change information transfer and implementation.Window person to RD Germany and suppliers, technical support to BBAC.Ensure component functional tests will be conducted according to the MB specification, evaluate the results and give release recommendation.Component Certification and homologation must fulfil the Chinese market and regulation requirements.
Qualifications Education • University degree in mechanical or automotive engineering.
Experience • Graduates with first experience in automotive industry (e.g. internships) as well as applicants with minimum 2-3 years work experience at OEMs or suppliers.
• Experience on Interior Trim Part development & production, innovation and sustainability know-how are beneficial.
Specific Knowledge • Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills, German language beneficial.
• Self-responsible working attitude and initiative.
• Intercultural competence and communication skills with cross-functional groups.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• High commitment for automobiles.
• Willingness to travel inside China and abroad to prepare and support launches at suppliers.
