What you'll do: The Innovation Manager will be responsible for leading Corus International's Innovation Hub initiative, a strategic program aimed at transforming valuable inventions from Latin America into innovative, market-ready products for adoption across Corus's global operations and by external partners.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Innovation Manager will drive the development and validation of new products, establish and nurture strategic partnerships, and promote a culture of innovation within the organization.
The role will oversee the creation of a global innovation platform, ensure the successful scaling and deployment of solutions, and work towards the development of a sustainable business model for long-term impact.
Location: Latin America, preferable in a country located within the Business Unit area of coverage.
About The Ideal Candidate: Leadership in Establishing, Scaling, and Sustaining the Innovation Hub Strategic Leadership: Lead the successful startup and operational launch of the Innovation Hub, ensuring the establishment of efficient processes, systems, and structures.Scalability and Growth: Develop and execute strategies for scaling the Hub's initiatives, expanding its reach, and fostering the adoption of innovative solutions across Corus's global operations and external stakeholders.Sustainable Development: Drive the creation of a sustainable business model that supports long-term growth through strategic partnerships, revenue-generating activities, and optimal resource allocation.Continuous Improvement: Implement performance metrics and use data-driven insights to evaluate progress.Product Development & Validation: Lead the development and validation of innovative products.Ensure products are scalable, adaptable, and validated for deployment in various global contexts.Maintain a structured process for prototyping, testing, and refining products to meet project goals.Adoption and Deployment: Oversee the adoption and deployment of innovative products in Corus's global operations.Coordinate with regional and global teams to ensure seamless integration and user adoption.Strategic Partnership Building: Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with international organizations, government agencies, and the private sector.Achieve strategic partnerships that support product scaling, implementation, or funding.Foster strong working relationships that enable collaboration and resource-sharing.Global Innovation Platform Development: Build and strengthen Corus's Innovation Hub as the leading global platform for generating innovative tools.Establish a network of internal and external partners that contribute to the continuous development and flow of innovative ideas.Develop and implement processes to support idea generation, collaboration, and solution development.Culture of Innovation: Promote and embed a culture of innovation within Corus by inspiring creativity and proactive problem-solving among multidisciplinary teams.Organize workshops, training sessions, and events that encourage innovative thinking and team collaboration.Recognize and reward contributions that align with the goals of the Innovation Hub.Sustainable Business Model Development: Contribute to developing a self-sustaining business model for the Innovation Hub that ensures its long-term viability.Identify and implement revenue-generating opportunities and leverage partnerships for funding.Optimize resources and processes to maintain efficient operations.Positioning Corus as an Innovation Leader: Enhance Corus's reputation as a global convener of innovation in humanitarian aid and sustainable development.Represent Corus at global events, conferences, and in strategic meetings to promote the organization's innovation initiatives.Create reports and case studies that showcase the impact of developed products and the success of partnerships.Impact Measurement and Reporting: Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track the progress of the Innovation Hub's initiatives.Regularly report on milestones, achievements, and challenges to the Managing Director and other relevant stakeholders.Ensure transparency and continuous improvement through data-driven assessments and feedback loops.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Social Sciences, or a related field.Master's degree in a relevant discipline strongly preferred.5-6 years of professional experience in innovation management, product development, or a related field, with measurable success in scaling products or securing partnerships.Demonstrated success in implementing performance metrics and using data-driven insights to evaluate and improve processes.Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to create performance dashboards.Ability to distill data into clear, actionable reports.Experience working in diverse, multicultural environments, particularly in Latin America.Proficiency in English and Spanish is required.Strong market analysis skills to guide product scalability and sustainability.Strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities.Excellent communication and negotiation skills for building partnerships.Proficient project management skills, from concept to execution.In-depth knowledge of humanitarian response and sustainable development challenges.Ability to inspire and collaborate with diverse, multidisciplinary teams.Creative, proactive, and results-oriented.
