Import/Export & Intercompany Specialist We are looking for an Import/Export & Intercompany Specialist to join our Argentina Supply Chain team.
Based in Buenos Aires, reporting to Argentina Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the logistics and administrative aspects of the company's import and export operations. The incumbent will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure that international trade transactions are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
You will also be responsible for coordinating the Intercompany process transversally in the organization with functional areas, business units, and countries, following strategic objectives in close coordination with the Regional and Local Supply Chain teams, ensuring the supply process for finished products, semi-finished and raw materials, for both buying and selling, focusing on identifying the best alternative aligned with the strategy to enable business requirements, optimizing plants capacity and landed costs, coordinating the process of preparing Inter-company offers, negotiation and supply from and to the affiliates.
You will focus on the following activities:
Import/Export Manage and coordinate import and export logistics, including shipping, transportation, and customs clearance Coordinate the transportation of goods, including booking, cargo space and arranging for customs clearance Communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other transportation providers to ensure that shipments are delivered on time and within budget Prepare and process import and export documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and other shipping documents Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, including obtaining necessary licenses and permits, and keeping up to date with changes in trade laws and regulations, assuring total compliance with Export Control policy Communicate with internal stakeholders, including sales, production, and finance, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods Liaise with external stakeholders, including suppliers, logistics providers, and customs officials, to ensure compliance with international trade regulations Monitor and report on import/export activities, including shipment status and delivery performance Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all import/export transactions. Assist with trade compliance audits and reviews Identify opportunities to optimize import/export processes and procedures Intercompany Coordinate Intercompany process assuring the service level for quotations, inbound and outbound flows, in strict coordination with LatAm Intercompany Team. Assure Intercompany process rules application through organizational alignment, harmonization, and standardization, always focusing on efficiency and continuous improvements. Work effectively cross-functionally (Supply chain, finance, IT, procurement, engineering, commercial, inside sales, manufacturing, etc.), businesses, plants, systems, and borders. Identify product requirements and possible supplier plants with R&D technical support. Prepare competitive IC Quotes for products without a price list, always focusing on target conditions in the destination market. Manage IC product price lists and assure the continuous update Manage IC deliverables (Quotes, customer orders, IC orders, Transits) Prepare and actively participate in the Intercompany and Country S&OP process Manage the IC Order entry and tracking to assure service to customers Ensure deliveries guaranteeing efficiencies in logistics costs for IC transactions Guarantee the documentation of IC shipments, validating and issuing said documentation Handle changes in IC orders and offers Support inventory management Key-user of SAP Intercompany Cockpit, when applicable, managing the full process Manage KPIs and reports, publishing the key indicators ensuring organization alignment. Who are we looking for? Graduation Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field MBA or Pos-University Degree on International Trade will be considered a plus Professional Experience The position requires a minimum of 5 years of previous experience in international trade, logistics, or supply chain management, necessary to master the main activities of the position.
