Wyndham Grand Doha West Bay Beach is now seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in Qatar.
Job SummaryThe Human Resources Coordinator will provide a proactive and supportive Human Resources service to all team members, upholding The Wyndham goals of employee engagement, guest satisfaction, and financial profitability, as well as all Human Resources Key Performance Indicators of recruitment, training, retention, and administering effective flow of documentation relating to team members.
To assist in developing and implementing initiatives which embrace Wyndham values and ensuring that all team members are treated in a positive, fair, and supportive manner throughout their employment. Be the first point of contact for all team members' enquiries, assist them with their queries, and provide them with the help they are looking for. Follow up to ensure that the help was well received and that the documents etc. that they required were received in a timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMain DutiesTake personal responsibility for ensuring effective flow of all administration including but not limited to team members' certificates, file notes, payroll (in absence of AHRM), departmental signature folders, bank letters, and opening of new bank accounts.Ensure that all team members' personnel files are up-to-date at all times in conjunction with the Assistant HR Manager/DHR.Ensure that up-to-date, correct contact details are recorded in the OASYS for all team members at all times, including email and mobile numbers. Actively update this information weekly.Ensure that team members receive their requested documents within 3 days from the request, including but not limited to bank letters, visa letters, and salary letters.Handle the joiners process for all team members to include: Following up on receiving necessary documents together with the signed offer letter from new hires, booking and communicating flights for new hires, coordinating with housing for room allocations and airport pickups/local transfers, communicating with Training Manager with new arrivals, entering all new joiners in OASYS upon arrival, handing out the team member handbook, induction plans and job descriptions to new joiners, collecting passport for PRO to start residence visa process, updating the new hire tracking sheet, distributing name tags, hotel IDs and locker keys, opening a salary bank account, and scheduling of ID and Medicals in liaison with PRO.Other DutiesAssist team members in making appointments with AHRM/DHR. Ensure that AHRM/DHR is aware of any urgent requests/emergencies concerning team members immediately from being notified/becoming aware.Administer the team member's birthday celebrations including birthday cards, gifts, daily & monthly announcements.Arrange and communicate the Monthly Awards for Team member of the month, Supervisor/Manager of the Quarter, and Count on Me Award.Collect nominations for the monthly awards and set up voting.Ensure copies of the letters of the monthly winners are submitted to Finance before payroll.Manage HR notice-boards daily and ensure they display current and relevant information.Proactively engage and bond with team members in all departments and use the information to come up with innovative and effective ideas for team member relations, retention, and benefits.Execute ideas together with the Human Resources team but take lead in ensuring the projects reach completion.Ensure all team members' files are kept up-to-date at all times and that filing is done weekly in order to comply with the HR standards.Ensure locker tracking sheet is updated at all times.Monitor and ensure that all office supplies are ordered in a timely manner.Support the HR team with any courier requests.Minimum RequirementsIdeally 2+ years as a Human Resources Coordinator in a branded hotel.Knowledgeable with all aspects of the HR function.Able to work with little guidance as it is a stand-alone role.Effective HR administration and people management skills.Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.COMPANY OVERVIEW:Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is the world's largest hotel franchising company by the number of properties with approximately 9,200 hotels across over 95 countries on six continents.
