Responsibilities typically include the supervision of HSE team, leading HSEMS Management Reviews with site leadership, training employees, interacting with regulatory agencies, leading pollution prevention efforts and health and safety management and control efforts, HSE objectives/targets, regulatory compliance, as well as maintaining HSEMS/ISO 14001/ ISO 45001 certification.
Key Responsibilities:Demonstrate leadership and initiative in H and S, promoting, developing and implementing a culture of safety in daily activity.Anticipates, identifies and evaluates hazardous safety conditions and environmental risks.Develops complete hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs.Implements, administers, and advises others on hazard and risk control programs.Interprets and applies internal and external standards in support of hazard and risk reduction and compliance.Ensure proper and timely investigation of safety incidents in the projects, ensuring compliance with statutory and corporate requirements.
Prepares incident reports to management and ensures learning is transferred appropriately in the organization.Trains employees and other applicable personnel on HSE procedures, practices, and controls.Coaches and mentors HSE team, and supports initiatives designed to improve HSE culture within local organization.Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA): Evaluates hazards within the work environment.Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems: Health, Safety and Environment Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis: Examines HSE incidents by completing quality, evidence-based investigations with accurate root.Influence Health and Safety Culture: Champions positive health and safety behaviors by influencing leaders and employees to create the right environment.
