Job description: Position Summary The HR Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management of human capital within the organization and providing support in the development of the HR strategy for the Taca Taca project. Responsible for providing expert guidance and support, the role focuses on enhancing employee relations, promoting a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. The HR Analyst will administer various human resources functions, including recruiting, training, performance management, and policy development, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities: Operational responsibilities Provide high-quality human resources advisory services to support the organization. Provide training to leadership teams on human resources guidelines and procedures, performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, retention, talent management, and employee development. Ensure compliance with labor laws and other relevant regulations. Address and resolve labor relations issues as they arise, acting as a mediator when necessary. Escalate complex issues to Manager, Finance and Administration for resolution. Working with the Manager, Finance and Administration, advise management on appropriate resolutions for employee concerns and conflicts. Oversee the maintenance of employee records and other human resources documentation, ensuring confidentiality. Conduct regular compensation reviews, ensuring the company remains competitive and fair in its compensation practices. Administer performance review processes, ensuring timely and constructive feedback. Support managers in setting performance goals and addressing performance issues. Optimize onboarding processes, ensuring new employees are effectively integrated into the company. Support HR functions both on-site and in the office, ensuring seamless HR operations across different environments. Coordinate with HR corporate office and other departments to ensure smooth execution of human resources-related activities. Stay updated with the latest human resources trends and best practices, implementing changes as necessary. Provide accurate data and reports to the management team and HR corporate office. Strategic Responsibilities Support the development of the HR strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and scaling needs. Assist in developing and reviewing best practice systems and processes. Implement and review human resources policies, procedures, and guidelines to meet business needs, aligning corporate requirements to local regulations. Support recruitment functions by assisting in sourcing, interviewing, and hiring processes to acquire top talent. Collaborate with the community relations team to develop sustainability actions, improve community employment capabilities, and promote sustainable HR practices. Ensure that diversity and inclusion principles are integrated into HR strategies and practices, fostering a non-discriminatory environment. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience & Skills Required: Experience in internal human resources operations. Previous experience in site-based human resources is essential, preferably in the mining industry. Practical experience/knowledge in Labor Relations and Industrial Relations. Knowledge of human resources software and systems. Strong understanding of state and federal labor laws and employment regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to lead and develop human resources practices and goals. Behavioural Traits Required: Fit in the First Quantum Culture: smarter, bolder, driven, together.
