(1) Essential functions: All duties assigned to the housekeeping team on an individual or team basis To maintain clean and tidy areas and ensure all duties required are completed within the time schedule Know and adhere to company regulations, SOPs and ISM, especially where relevant to the Ships Operation.
To constantly operate in the interests of the Owner and Supplier.
General o To clean offices, elevators, door and frames, bulkheads, deck heads, hand rails, light diffusers, fire extinguishers, grills and ash trays in assigned areas o To clean up all spillages in all areas of responsibility o To vacuum and clean stairways, elevators, alleyways, deck plates in assigned areas o To report maintenance defects within the areas of responsibility and beyond to the Housekeeping on duty o Follow the schedule of carpet shampooing as assigned by Housekeeper on duty o To maintain a stock of chemicals for cleaning purposes and the refilling of the main chemical storage point.
Refill all the chemical stations on each deck when required.
o To maintain clean and tidy lockers and complete a stock take as required o To remove, store or add fittings as requested.
To ensure all the fittings are in suitable condition.
o To assist with the issues of hotel supplies as instructed o To collect and distribute heavy baggage, as required o To assist passengers in wheelchairs o To set up tables and chairs for immigration purposes o To ensure all areas are clean, tidy and prepared for embarkation and disembarkation procedures.
o To cover bedroom staff section when signed off duty sickness o To undertake tasks delegated by housekeeping for periodic cleaning program o To complete general maintenance assignments by the Chief Housekeeper to ensure a clean environment is kept.
