Historian

- Conduct in-depth research on the history of life at sea, including maritime traditions, customs, and practices.

- Collect and organize historical documents, photographs, and artifacts related to crew life at sea.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive archive of historical materials.
- Create engaging and informative presentations, exhibits, and educational programs for crew members and guests.
- Collaborate with other departments to incorporate historical elements into onboard activities and events.
- Respond to inquiries and provide information about the history of crew life at sea.
- Stay updated on current research and trends in maritime history and share this knowledge with the team.
- Assist with the preservation and restoration of historical artifacts and documents.
- Participate in the planning and execution of special projects and events related to crew life at sea history.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a maritime or museum setting.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present complex historical information in a clear and engaging manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of preservation and conservation techniques for historical materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Passion for maritime history and a desire to share it with others.
