We're recruiting additional Class 1 drivers to join our conscientious and experienced Transport Team. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you'll join a team of 25 experienced and professional HGV Drivers, bringing in our raw materials, and transporting market-leading, high quality animal bedding and cubicle conditioner products (palletised and bulk loose) to our customers all across the UK.
Key Details: This is a 4 on, 4 off role, meaning you'll work for 4 consecutive days, followed by 4 days off, providing a good balance between work and personal life. This pattern offers consistency and flexibility, ensuring ample time for rest and family commitments.
Our Fleet and Facilities: You'll be operating up-to-date vehicles, including articulated moving floor trailers and rigid flat-deck lorries. Platts holds a 'Green-Green' status with DVSA, and all vehicles are maintained in-house by our HGV mechanics at our sister company, Platts Commercial Services.
What do you need to be considered for this role? A valid HGV C+E Class 1 license, along with a valid Driver CPC qualification card.Good working knowledge of Tachograph and WTD rules.Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK.A flexible, customer-focused attitude.Willingness to work bank holidays and have occasional nights out during the week.What will you receive in return? Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour, plus an overnight allowance of £26.20 per night.Working Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (permanent, full-time).20 days total annual leave (4 on 4 off shift pattern includes working bank holidays and weekends).Uniform and PPE provided.Annual Discretionary Bonus.Training in new equipment and processes.Modern, High-Spec Vehicles (Volvo, Mercedes, Scania) with in-cab amenities such as TV, fridge/freezer, and microwave.Opportunities to attend company events/awards.If you're a skilled HGV driver looking for a stable and flexible working pattern with a well-established family business, this 4 on, 4 off role could be perfect for you.
