Position Summary: The Head of Processes will be responsible for developing and leading the company's global process optimization strategy, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance with international standards, and continuous improvement of industrial operations. This position will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across regions to implement best practices, innovative technologies, and industrial process benchmarks.
Qualifications/Competencies: Education: Degree in Production, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. Specialization or proven experience in industrial process management is a plus.Experience: Strong expertise in leadership roles within industrial operations or process management, preferably in crushing plants. Desirable at least 10 years of working experience.Languages: Fluency in English, desirable also in Portuguese or/and Spanish.Technical Knowledge:Desirable knowledge in processing and transhipment assets, such as crushing plants, refineries, biodiesel, ports, silos.Understanding of process management systems (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen).Expertise in process simulation and optimization tools.Familiarity with international regulations applicable to the industrial sector (NFPA 36, 61, 68, ATEX).Interpersonal Skills:Strong leadership and effective communication with multicultural teams and various organizational levels.Ability to influence and collaborate on global initiatives.Proactive Profile: Self-motivated, innovation-driven, and results-oriented.Key Responsibilities: Strategic Development:Develop and implement the global process management strategy aligned with corporate efficiency and sustainability goals.Ensure processes comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices.Optimization and Continuous Improvement:Identify and implement opportunities to enhance industrial processes across global operations.Develop process benchmarks, focusing on comparing efficiency and cost indicators across regions.Operational Support:Support local teams in resolving process challenges, such as operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies.Collaborate with maintenance, safety, quality, and project teams to add value to operations.Technological Innovation:Research and implement new technologies and process management tools.Promote industrial digitalization and automation to increase operational efficiency.Monitoring:Monitor process performance through key performance indicators (KPIs).Training and Development:Develop materials and training programs to empower teams with best practices in process management.Ensure knowledge transfer between global assets.Integration and Synergy:Foster integration across global operations, promoting synergies in teams, equipment, and service providers.Facilitate the sharing of best practices among units.Map process-related risks and develop plans to mitigate them.Collaborate with the Safety, maintenance, project, and quality departments to ensure operational processes minimize risks to asset and personnel integrity.COFCO International is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law. www.cofcointernational.com
