The role: We are seeking a Growth Marketing Associate, Video Optimization to build and execute the strategy for video optimization across owned and operated properties (website and app) as well as offsite channels (YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and others). The key objective will be to enhance engagement, build a robust subscriber base, and increase visibility for short and long form video content. Our ideal candidate is a data-driven growth marketer with a deep understanding of YouTube's algorithms and best practices for improving completed views with an eye towards increasing channel subscribers that drive revenue on video and social media platforms. You will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to attract more views, grow our subscriber base, optimize video SEO, and maximize monetization opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about the content, AI and SEO spaces and the evolving word of mouth landscape. The candidate will possess a natural ability to influence a cross-functional team to build the optimal video content strategy that educates, informs and converts new customers through innovative strategies and tactics.

We're looking for someone who can lead the video marketing efforts and drive engagement through captivating and effective visual content and optimization techniques to ensure the content is findable across the key search engines. Responsibilities: As the Video Lead, you'll have the opportunity to work with a talented growth and brand team and play a key role in shaping the online presence of a leading Chef-to-table direct-to-consumer brand. Develop and implement video marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and conversion rates. Lead the video optimization strategy across owned (website, app) and offsite (YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram) channels to increase awareness, engagement, subscriber growth, and retention. Develop and implement best-in-class SEO and video optimization practices to bolster CookUnity's website visibility and organic video reach. Collaborate with our in-house creative team to direct highly engaging video content that resonates with our target audience. Create and execute a content calendar for video marketing, ensuring alignment with CookUnity's overall marketing strategy and business goals. Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to optimize video thumbnails, titles, descriptions, and CTAs for maximum impact and discoverability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute effective video campaigns that align with overall marketing goals and initiatives. Lead and mentor a team of video producers and editors, providing guidance and feedback to help them create impactful and engaging content. Analyze and optimize video performance metrics, including watch time, engagement rate, and subscriber growth, using platforms like YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics, and other relevant tools. Work closely with the social media and content teams to ensure video content is aligned with the overall brand messaging and tone. Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI on video marketing initiatives. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video marketing, incorporating new techniques and technologies to improve campaign performance. Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to source talent, equipment, and resources for video production. Take ownership of CookUnity's visibility and work with the brand team to maintain consistency in visual storytelling across all video content. Requirements: A Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record and/or proven relevant experience in an SEO or digital marketing role focused on organic tactics. 3+ years of experience in growth marketing, or hands-on experience in YouTube/video marketing, or a related role with a strong focus on video optimization and strategy. Proven track record of growing video viewership and subscriber base in video platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, and social media (especially YouTube). A deep understanding of algorithms and the latest technical advancements in the field of AI and video content. Strong knowledge of video optimization techniques, SEO, and content marketing. Experience working with video production teams and content creators to execute a cohesive video marketing strategy. High data IQ with a focus on driving conversions and revenue for DTC businesses. Experience using video analytics tools such as YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar. A great team player and fun to work with, a collaborative attitude and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and make data-driven decisions. Proactive and self-motivated with keen attention to detail. A creative-minded person with a strong interest in developing a cohesive brand presence across marketing touchpoints. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.
