Summary of the position: Drives healthcare system innovation and unlocks possibilities to deliver value for the healthcare system and society. Acts as trusted partner and the primary (but non-exclusive) point of contact between stakeholders and Roche. Drives solutions that can enable and deliver better outcomes faster. Lives the Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst (VACC) model, acts as catalyst and coach externally and internally.
The Opportunity Understand the Southern American Network environment and serve as an enabler to promote the distinctive culture/values of the company and Roche's approach to major health policy issues.
Drive the creation of innovative proposals to positively affect government policy and the Roche organization, including leading efforts to shape government policy at trade associations, other forums, through lobbying, etc.
Coordinates actions through strategic partners in government and industry communicating corporate positions and objectives.
Projects may include implementation of public policy activities, government and industry influential efforts, advocating government funding initiatives and identifying new opportunities favorably advancing the company's influence with government policymakers.
Who you are: Accountable to proactively drive external thought leadership in the respective area of expertise (access strategy, pricing & reimbursement, policy, evidence) with a strong focus on understanding external stakeholder needs and building trusted partnerships to drive the defined strategic agenda and longer-term outcomes.
Overseas influences activities on matters impacting Roche, including developing strategies and communicating positions to government members/offices to support Roche business goals.
Qualifications of the position: Education: Healthcare related fields (Medical Doctor & Pharmacist degrees are desired)
Professional experience/duration: Relevant experience working in the government affairs environment
Specialist knowledge: Knowledge of the existing access routes in the Argentinean, Uruguayan, Paraguay and Bolivia healthcare system
Understanding of how the decision-making process works in the stakeholders that participate in the generation of public policy- Knowledge of health regulations and legislation
Effective, agile, fit-for-purpose leadership of cross-functional teams
Fluent English/Spanish language
