About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Founding Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in leading the development and optimization of our backend architecture, ensuring system scalability, and maintaining data security.
You will be a key player in integrating agentic LLM models, communicating technology strategy, and contributing to a culture of technical excellence.
This is a full-time position at a fast-growing, high-impact startup. It is not a typical 9-5 job. We seek passionate individuals dedicated to transforming mental health care and serving millions of patients lacking access.
Candidates must be ready to work hard and make a significant impact. While this is primarily a backend-focused engineering role,
you will be expected to contribute as a generalist across various functions and be ready to jump in wherever needed to support the team and company objectives.
Responsibilities
- System Performance : Achieve system scalability to handle tenfold data growth while maintaining or improving response times for our heavily LLM-dependent services.
- Data Security : Implement solutions that fully comply with HIPAA and ensure zero breaches.
- Innovation in Telepsychiatry : Introduce new functionalities that leverage language models to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Technical Leadership : Guide and inspire a technical team towards achieving architectural and operational excellence.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Partner with engineering and design teams to create a superior patient experience.
- Technical Generalist : Apply technical skills across product, design,
and engineering to develop top-notch products.
Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Expertise : Strong experience with backend technologies including TypeScript and Node.js.
- Cloud Services Proficiency : Proficient in managing cloud services across Google Cloud, Azure, and AWS.
- Database Management : Expertise in designing and managing databases, particularly with PostgreSQL.
- Secure APIs : Experience in implementing secure and scalable APIs.
- Soft Skills : Problem-solving, innovation, collaboration, and leadership.
- Practical Experience : Experience with or demonstrated deep interest in language model-first systems and solutions.
- Early-stage Startup Experience : Experience in a pre-Series A startup is a plus but not required.
