Unit DescriptionSodexo is currently seeking a Food Production Manager - 3 to join our Government Services team at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California. The Production Manager will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of all culinary operations for one of its Mess Halls.
Some responsibilities include: Food Production ManagementOrderingInventoryPlate Cost ManagementRecipe ComplianceManaging StaffThe successful candidate will: Have 3-5 years operational management experience in a high-volume food service dining environment.Be a people person with a strong focus on maintaining positive client relations; a solid manager/leader who is perceptive and has attention to details that make a difference – quality and presentation of food – customer service.Be SERVICE focused – including providing excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment.Be proficient in the use of online Food Management Systems for menu/recipe planning, ordering, and inventory.Demonstrate proven financial acumen/success: Food costs/ labor costs, budgets.Is this opportunity right for you? Qualifications & RequirementsBasic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience. Basic Management Experience - 2 years. Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
