Job Description - Exterior add on parts development (MER0003BW9)

Group: Mercedes-Benz Group AG

Description Role: Ensure Component design comply with Product requirements (Specifications), this includes Manufacturing feasibility, homologation checks, functional checks, package checks, etc. Work with Cross-functional teams & Suppliers to ensure Component maturity as per Project milestones. Project management and supplier management to ensure project deliverable as per Project time plans until SOP. Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Automotive engineering 1-5 years of experience in field of Automotive component design/development of Interior or Exterior trims Knowledge of Product requirements for Trim parts e.g., Bumpers, Grille, Rocker Panel, Spoiler or interior trim parts. Able to understand Simulation/Testing results and optimize components accordingly. Experience working on PLM (Product life cycle management) software. Experienced in product development processes like APQP (QFD, DFMEA, PFMEA)/VDA, DOE, PPAP in Automotive industry. Experience working in Cross-functional teams & Suppliers. Independently managed Component design/development phases. Knowledge of Automotive trims engineering, Plastic Materials, Plastic manufacturing, Plastic tooling requirements & Automotive trims trends. General requirements: Self-motivated Excellent Interpersonal/Communication skills (Cross-functional negotiations, presentations to committees, etc.) Good Analytical skills Organization Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited
