Job Summary Mercedes Benz of Buckhead is looking to add to our Sprinter technician team. With a growing demand for Sprinter vans, now is a great time to take advantage of this opportunity. Our Sprinter team is looking for applicants with independent industry experience in commercial vehicles, European automotive experience, or experience as journeyman technician from dealer or independent backgrounds. ASE certification or vocational degrees in automotive required. Applicants should be well organized, self motivated, work well with other team members, and have excellent communication skills. Technical training via online courses and instructor-led training are provided by MBOB and Mercedes Benz to keep you up to date with our quickly changing industry.

In this position, an individual will work under limited supervision. Technicians are tasked with repairing the most challenging and time-sensitive problems that vehicles have when they arrive at the service department. Master Technicians spend much of their time diagnosing and repairing unusual problems. Our Technicians use a variety of computerized systems to complete their work.

Essential Duties Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership procedures and standardsInspect and test-drive vehicles to ensure the vehicles run smoothly & safelyExecute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specificationsCommunicate directly with the Service Advisors and all necessary parties to ensure that customers are provided with exceptional customer serviceDiagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems and componentsEnsure quality customer service through professionalism and timely responsesComplete required MB and dealership trainingInstall equipment as specified by the customer or the companyAssist and mentor junior technicians when neededUse shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical mannerReport to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customersMaintain professional and clean workspacePerform other related duties as assignedQualifications High school diploma or equivalentAt least 2 years of prior experience as a technician; Mercedes-Benz experience (preferred)Customer service experienceValid driver's license; must be insurableDrug and background screenRegular and reliable attendanceMust be flexible & a team playerAbility to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentSTAR or Master Certified Mercedes-Benz (preferred)Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) (preferred)Work Environment & Physical Demands Constant moving; walking, bending, stooping, and standingExert force to move/manipulate objects (up to 50lbs occasionally, 30lbs frequently, 10lbs constantly)Constantly operating tools and equipmentWork is conducted inside, outside, and in a shop environment in proximity to moving vehiclesExposure to chemicals and moderate to loud noise levelsMercedes-Benz of Buckhead is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
