Position Overview: Exciting opportunity for a Solar Project Engineer to join a leading renewable energy organization's Engineering and Construction (E&C) division.
This role focuses on managing BOT (Build-Own-Transfer) solar farm projects, working with diverse stakeholder teams to develop and implement engineering designs for solar projects.
Key Responsibilities: Manage 3rd party contractor teams for solar project engineering Coordinate with environmental, procurement, and transmission services teams Apply value engineering principles to optimize reliability, cost, and performance Oversee project lifecycle from concept definition through construction and commissioning Develop and manage technical scopes of work with external customers Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Science in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical) 5+ years of relevant engineering experience Experience managing internal or external engineering resources Strong project management and leadership skills Valid driver's license with clean record Preferred Qualifications: Utility-scale solar project experience Experience with DG/commercial solar or other power industry technologies Contract management experience Technical scope negotiation expertise What We Offer: Competitive hourly rate (Up to $59/hr DOE) Professional development opportunities Work with cutting-edge renewable energy technologies Collaborative team environment
