About the Role: Production editor
The Team: The Journal of Commerce, part of S&P Global, is a 196-year-old publication delivering actionable business intelligence to cargo owners and their transportation providers via a global team of journalists with subject matter expertise in container shipping and landside freight transport. JOC provides its global readership with breaking news affecting containerized supply chains and exclusive analysis that helps cargo owners better manage their freight transportation and inventory. Through its journalism work, JOC drives industry discussion and brings stakeholders together through physical and virtual events including TPM, the largest container shipping conference in the world. JOC has a legacy and culture of passion for the shipping industry, editorial collaboration, and curiosity.
Responsibilities and Impact: The editor supports the production of the JOC.com and the twice-a-month Journal of Commerce magazine, working with editorial, design, and sales teams to ensure delivery of critical news and analysis. The production editor manages the layout, production, and transmission of the JOC magazine and Breakbulk magazine, along with research reports, advertorials, and directories. The editor will also manage the distribution of daily and weekly newsletters. Assist in the oversight of index operations, with a particular focus on Benchmark Regulations and compliance with IOSCO Principles.
