Within this fast-growing and developing business of Mercedes-Benz in China, the electric drive unit and drivetrain department is continuously developing. While series production for PHEVs and BEVs will soon be running under full steam, new electric products need to be developed and implemented.
For our Electric Drive Unit team, this means the local NEV market needs to be monitored and benchmarked in order to find the best concepts and define the MB components for customer needs. More components will be localized with local engineering, including E-motors, inverters, and other sub-components within the eATS (elektrischer Antriebstrang). This means you will be responsible for:
Market monitoring and benchmarking for eATS / eMotor and Inverter componentsDefining possible future MB eATS concepts and componentsProviding regular market overviews and benchmark reportseATS and eDrive system definition for possible future carlinesSupport for prototype car build-up and commissioningLocal eATS/Inverter/eMotor engineering supportNext generation e-motors and inverters engineering co-development with HQ in GermanyDeveloping and managing potential E-Motor, Inverter, and eATS local suppliersSystem issue analyzing and failure trackingTask Description Market monitoring and benchmarkingBenchmarking and market reportsDefinition and support for future eDrive and eATS systemsDevelop and manage potential future local suppliersReporting to managementInternal coordination for RD and cross-functional topicsSupport for eDrive system and component testing and issue analyzingQualifications Education:
University degree in electrical, mechatronic, or automotive engineering.
