We are looking for a new Director & Actuary to join the Holdings Retail Annuities team of our Center of Excellence in Argentina . What you will do in this role… Supervise and review work of up to 5 globally located actuarial students. GAAP reserve valuation and financial reporting for deferred annuities. Explain reserve variances and earning analysis to the line of business. Create, maintain and re-certify all process documentation. Coordinate with multidisciplinary business partners. Participate in assumption setting process for annuities. Test and validate periodic model updates. Lead discussions with partners across multiple disciplines both internal and external. This includes IT, risk management, accountants, auditors finance, investments. To help you succeed, you need to have… University actuarial studies and at least 5 years relevant actuarial experience. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated experience in a financial reporting role including explaining financial results to management, auditors, etc. Experience modifying and running actuarial valuation models. Reviewing experience studies supporting behavioral and economic assumptions and recommending updates as needed. Experience managing junior actuaries including assigning work, reviewing results and mentoring. Demonstrated experience functioning in a matrix manager capacity. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access. And it will be a plus if you… Have experience using Alteryx or SQL.
