Digital and Platform Services - Business ManagementPart of the Business Management function supporting the heads of the CIB Digital and Platform Services (D&PS) group, the Workforce Strategy team supports the D&PS organisation in workforce-related activities impacting the D&PS group, for example, Return to the office and Hybrid Working, Location Strategy decision making, and Real Estate demand planning. J.P Morgan is seeking a Vice President to help support the Digital and Platform Services (D&PS) group by providing data and business analysis, project and change management support. The role provides opportunities to work on projects that span across a large global organisation. There will be exposure to the setting and execution of strategy across the organisation. The role is ideal for highly motivated individuals with advanced problem-solving and communication skills who like a varied workload day to day.
As part of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB), the D&PS group runs the Technology, Operations, Digital, Data Analytics, and AI functions for the CIB. The CIB DPS Workforce team sits within the CIB D&PS Business Management group and focuses on the workforce strategy for the D&PS group. We work closely with HR, Business Managers, and Finance Leads.
Our workforce strategy function is organized around 4 key dimensions:
Return to the Office and Flexible WorkingLocation Strategy - Support the different groups within the D&PS organisation with their location strategy decisions providing data and guidance. Ensure that location strategies are accurately reflected within financial plans. Analysis and provision of data to inform decisions and publishing of plans to provide transparency.Real Estate - Through data analysis and discussion with business managers, identify opportunities to reduce our seating footprint and save real estate costs. Support the process of execution of moves and tracking saves through to realization.D&PS Site Leadership Community - Provide support to a community of senior leadership across our key locations to help them make a great working environment in the location, full of motivated people who have career progression, learning, and understand their purpose within the larger context of their work and future opportunities.Responsibilities:
Partner with the D&PS business managers and finance leads to support and drive the workforce strategy.Support any data queries that come into the group relating to workforce strategy:Production and evolution of weekly metrics reporting.Develop and provide solutions for data analysis.Drive the development of automated metrics view with the use of Excel, Alteryx, Tableau.Ensure the D&PS sub LOB's headcount by location is accurately represented in the firms' financial planning systems.Perform data quality checks to ensure that LOB/buildings are correctly represented and work with HC Centre of Excellence to implement new validation rules as required.Ensure any prior commitments are reflected or have a robust explanation.Understand the capacity of our buildings and the ability to grow.Where the submitted demand exceeds the available seat supply, work with teams to resolve. This could be by increasing seat leverage or by diverting growth to alternative locations.Support the D&PS Location Strategy.Ensure a clear understanding of the expectations of the D&PS Location Strategy.Analyze data in order to evolve the strategy.Identify opportunities for optimization, challenge, and influence.Provide analysis and synthesis of data to help decision-making and drive execution of the strategy.Self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of independence.Previous experience in a project management or business management type role.Strong organizational and time management skills.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to forge strong relationships with key stakeholders.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Presents well to senior stakeholders.Proactive approach to problem-solving, taking ownership of issues and having tenacity to drive solutions through to a conclusion, with a minimal level of supervision.Ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely.Good working knowledge of PowerPoint and MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.). Experience of Alteryx or other data automation tools is an advantage.Experience in data analysis, process design, and related change management, project management, or business management activities is an advantage.J.P.
