As an AWS Cloud / Devops Engineer, you will collaborate with cross functional teams to meet the goal of faster delivery, secure by design, end to end automation, cost reduction and greater overall business success. A key part of the role is championing and leading infrastructure as code effort.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:Build and extend with some of the toolchains we work with such as AWS (ie: Lambda, ElastiCache, CloudFront, CodePipeline, SSM), ansible, and shell scriptsFurther enhance our release pipelines, monitoring, alerting, and automated system recoveryWork to identify areas of the architecture without redundancy, and work to improve reliabilityDevelop tools, alarms, and systems to identify issues on front-ends and back-ends, as soon as they hapWork with business stakeholders to develop uptime and SLA requirements, and work to get overall system uptime in line with engineering SLAsTroubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areasPerform infrastructure cost analysis and optimizationMentor other members of the engineering team in performance, scalability, and engineering best practicesOur Ideal Candidate:5 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, CodeDeploy, CloudFront, S3)Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Cloudformation, Ansible or Terraform is a plusExperience working with microservice based architecturesExperience working with CI/CD, continuous testing, monitoring and alerting toolsBelieve in finding the best solution, not just one that worksHave attained an AWS Certification, or would like to be sponsored to take an exam for oneWhat's in it for you?
