Bioinformatics Decision Analytics Consultant
Responsibilities:
:
Perform data management activities for scientific research data domains such as biomarker data, genomics and proteomics data, assay data (flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, cytokines, etc), molecular data for synthesized molecules as well as proteins;
:
Create and maintain data catalogs, data dictionaries and metadata catalogs for scientific research data domains;
:
Create and curate taxonomies and ontologies for scientific data such as cell lines, immune cell types, molecular entities, assays, etc. Research and identify taxonomies and ontologies in the public domain as well as commercially available ones, ingest these ontologies into an enterprise data lake environment and then customize them for specific client purposes;

Establish and maintain omics libraries and advise clients and ZS teams on library governance;
:
Evaluate and assess strengths and weaknesses of omics and translational data sources via interrogation, and through potential data partners for advancing the data strategy for a given experiment, or for general use by a research or therapeutic area team;

Provide subject matter expertise to teams building bioinformatics platforms and research data lakes;

Evaluate and recommend bioinformatics tools and platforms for client projects;
:
Collaborate with clients and ZS teams to understand and frame scientific questions and required insights and translate into experimental design for bioinformatics studies and analyses;

Design and code analytical pipelines for various omics studies and experiments;

Apply machine learning and advanced data science methods and approaches to scientific analyses and bioinformatics projects;

Publish research papers and present at scientific conferences based on work performed;

Maintain a strong insight into the capabilities of potential external partners and competitors in bioinformatics, by assessing their informatics and data capabilities;
