Job Description: Scientific Communications Expert We are looking for a Scientific Communications Specialist who can help us drive brand awareness in the scientific community through online and offline channels and support our local marketing and PR campaigns by executing our local scientific communication strategy.
What are we looking for? You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine.
Ideally, you have at least 3+ years of experience as a veterinary practitioner.
You have excellent scientific communication and presentation skills.
Your English level is fluent.
You have a high passion for bettering the lives of pets by transforming the way the world applies pet nutrition.
What will be your key responsibilities? Plan, execute, and lead the credibility strategy based on scientific and general communication for positioning in the local market, aligned with the strategies and priorities of our brands and businesses.
Plan, execute, and lead the scientific and technical communication strategy, aligned with brand priorities and attributes, the umbrella brand (Mars ecosystem), and its products.
Develop and execute partnerships with veterinary associations and universities.
Develop technical and general materials for various audiences, including training courses or sessions for associates.
Support PR campaigns or communication and reputation efforts from a technical and scientific content perspective.
Manage and report on the area budget. Perform administrative tasks (purchase orders, billing control, etc.).
Analyze and report on the effectiveness of actions using KPIs.
Provide technical support/argumentation/scientific responses to key business areas, including Consumer Care/Regulatory/Marketing/Sales, among others.
Review/translate/structure technical communications received from global to assist Marketing, Sales, dComm teams, etc.
Coordinate and organize training events and congresses/events for clients and/or veterinarians.
Develop and implement strategies for the loyalty of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and universities, establishing ties and identifying collaborative opportunities.
Train the sales team, consumer care, and external partners (e.g., agencies, institutions).
Provide on-the-ground training to clients, identifying issues and proposing solutions to strengthen product recommendations.
Participate as a brand representative and spokesperson for media and courses, seminars, or congresses with a scientific focus.
Identify and address internal and external communication needs.
