Job Description - Cost Engineer-10 (MER0003IAW) Description: Should Costing/Zero Based Calculation for Sheet Metal and Plastic Commodity.Manufacturing Process Knowledge of Stamping, Plastic, Hoses, Aluminium Pipe Domain.Knowledge of Stamping, Welding, Injection Moulding.Understand overall manufacturing/part development activities.Ability to read part drawings.Awareness of Cost factors in Product/Part Costing.Proficient Knowledge of Excel.Engineering Change Management (for modifications or new part development).Make Or Buy Analysis.Analyse Supplier RFQs (Technical & Commercial).Preferred Software Skills – NX, SMARAGD, SCHMALE, TACO, Any cost Evaluation Software.Job Responsibilities: Cost estimation and cost management analysis.Manufacturing Feasibility discussion with suppliers.Price negotiation with the best available manufacturing process.Interacting with Overseas team, commodity members for successful project execution.Ensure on-time deliverable for the projects.Qualifications: Organization: Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited
