Job Description The Corporate Communications Manager for Southern Cone (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia) is a professional with solid experience managing communication campaigns. This professional has experience in designing and executing employee communication (internal communications) efforts through a variety of initiatives, and also has a proven record of supporting business communications internally and externally, including launches of products, services and solutions through traditional and digital media. A dynamic and innovative professional, this manager will work in tandem with the corporate communications lead for Southern Cone, bringing his/her ability to design, plan and execute key initiatives to enhance the company reputation in those markets and increase understanding of Visa's business across multiple audiences.
Internal Communications 65% Plan and execute employee communications in Southern Cone in alignment with business priorities, best practices, recommended cadence of internal events and communications.
Provide counsel to country managers and Southern Cone leadership team to communicate our business strategy and cultural values.
Plan, create and execute internal events, including all-staff meetings, internal informational sessions, meetings between senior leaders and new hires, as well as engagement initiatives.
Draft, edit, produce and manage distribution of all internal communications in Southern Cone - including written and multimedia communications.
Work in tandem with other functions to support volunteerism activities and social impact initiatives.
Manage relationships with corporate communications vendors, including public relations agencies and event management support.
Overall Corporate Communications 25% Plan and execute external communications in tandem with the leader of corporate communications for the Southern Cone. This includes traditional and digital media outreach, social media integration, as well as proactive and reactive communications, in support of business goals and priorities, in alignment with local, regional and global plan, policies and procedures.
Help to develop or adapt external communications materials, press releases, pitches and other content with digital appeal, as needed, based on research studies, statistics and fact sheets, among others.
Design, plan and execute press conferences, forums, product launches, educational media gatherings for innovation, core products and digital payment solutions.
Support social media communications plans and execution.
Develop messaging platforms for speaking opportunities and corporate visibility activities.
Social Impact 10% Be the official Social Impact (SI) champion in South Cone.
Promote Social impact and volunteering activities to the SoCo Team.
Lead volunteering relationship with local ONGs.
Coordinate with regional and global SI team to implement the action plan.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications Knowledge Required High level of knowledge in all communications functions, including internal communications and employee engagement, external communications, media relations, issues management, executive and product positioning. Digital communications. Experience in messaging and content development. General knowledge of payments technology or related global industry. Strong knowledge in managing issues and crisis. Should have understanding of social issues and be able to analyze and interpret data related to these issues to inform decision-making aligned with business objectives. Experience & Education Required More than 7 years of relevant experience, with Bachelors Degree in communications, journalism or related field as Marketing, Master's Degree in Communication or related field (preferred). Experience in corporate communications in multinational organizations, including work with senior officers, country leaders. Experience in design and execution of executive and employee communications. Experience in external communications, including media relations, speaking engagement and social media. Reporting experience. Video and digital content production and editing. Social impact experience. Skills Required Excellent writing and storytelling skills in Spanish and English.
