Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions
Office Provide legal advice to various business units in countries across Latin America, excluding Brazil and Mexico. Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, partnership arrangements, and other legal documents (for private and public customers), ensuring they align with the company's legal standards and objectives. Monitor changes in laws and regulations in different jurisdictions and proactively advise the company on potential impacts and necessary actions. Manage and supervise litigation and dispute resolution processes, working closely with external counsel when vital. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Compliance, HR, Finance, and Operations, to ensure legal compliance and support business initiatives. Conduct legal research and analysis to provide accurate and timely advice on a wide range of legal issues. Develop and implement legal strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's goals and objectives. Develop and deliver legal training programs to improve legal awareness and compliance across the organization. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited law school. Admitted to the bar and authorized to practice law in relevant jurisdictions. Minimum of 6 years of experience in legal roles, preferably within multinational companies. In-depth knowledge of international laws (public and private), regulations, and best practices relevant to the company's industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proven track record of providing strategic legal advice and managing legal risks in a multinational environment. Ability to work collaboratively across different functions and cultures, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions. High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct. Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is required.
Additional language skills are a plus.
