Svitla Systems Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer II (Core UX Web) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is the world's largest travel guidance platform, helping hundreds of millions each month become better travelers, from planning to booking to taking a trip. Travelers across the globe use the site and app to discover where to stay, what to do, and where to eat based on guidance from those who have been there before. With over 887 million reviews and opinions of nearly 8 million businesses, travelers turn to customers to find deals on accommodations, book experiences, and reserve tables at delicious restaurants.
They discover great places nearby as a travel guide company available in 43 markets and 22 languages. The Core UX Web team is looking for a customer-focused, creative, full-stack web engineer for one year to help build, support and scale the products. The team is committed to various products and services that help ensure consistency for the user across the website. They do everything from maintaining a consistent navigation experience to standardizing the ahead to building and scaling the design system. The team also maintains the homepage to welcome travelers to the site & the trip-planning tools.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in web development using TypeScript, React, and GraphQL (many of the features you work on will also require advanced knowledge of CSS).

1+ years of experience with either Java, Kotlin, or Node.js.

Familiarity with https://web.dev/baseline/overview and browser support of features in general.

Knowledge of the leading AWS service offerings and how they are deployed.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You will be working with many stakeholders across many different products.

Ability to break down complex problems into simple solutions.

Strong analytical skills and desire to deliver clean, well-supported, efficient code and systems.

Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for all aspects of software engineering, including design, implementation, QA, and maintenance and monitoring.

Learn about release management in addition to working with the code.

Collaborate closely with Product Teams to define feature specifications and develop high-quality customer deliverables.

Collaborate closely with the designers to improve and scale our design system - the internal library of design components used by every team.

Cooperate with other engineering teams and product areas to help enable and support feature launches.

Provide operational support and triage issues with the services.


Support designers and engineering stakeholders who want to use or change the design system.

Help us migrate some of our existing architecture and services to AWS.
