Position Summary Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the Communication Specialist is responsible for creating and executing communication plans within the company from start to finish and distributing information efficiently to all CASA collaborators to inform and raise awareness about specific issues. This role involves crafting clear and compelling messages for various audiences, including employees, local communities, authorities, investors, unions, potential contractors and suppliers, and the public, to foster a positive perception and maintain the company's social license to operate.
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute internal and external communications plans that align with the company's strategic objectives, corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and ESG policies.Create, edit, and distribute content, including press releases, newsletters, company statements, website content, and internal communications.Manage the company's social media profiles and presence, ensuring active and engaging communication across platforms.Coordinate with various departments to gather information and stories highlighting the company's projects, achievements, and contributions to sustainable mining practices.Organize and manage events such as press conferences, public hearings, community meetings, and employee engagement activities.Organize and manage participation in relevant mining or other events.Monitor media coverage and industry trends to advise on communication risks and opportunities.Develop and maintain relationships with media representatives, community leaders, and other key external stakeholders to enhance the company's reputation and visibility.Provide communication support during crisis situations, including developing response strategies and maintaining clear and open lines of communication with all stakeholders.Assist in preparing annual reports, sustainability reports, and presentations for management.Measure and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, making adjustments as necessary.Participate in communication areas of the national mining chamber, Salta province mining chamber, and other institutions that might be relevant for the project.Develop the branding of the company and review its proper use in events, external presentations, banners,Promote the training and alignment of relevant spokespersons in the company, considering institutional, community relations, professional, technical, or other needs. Generate interviews when required.Develop and keep updated relevant materials for the project, including business presentations, audio-visual content, models, etc.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.Proven experience (10+ years) in a communications role, preferably within the mining, energy, oil and gas, or related sector.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.Strong understanding of the mining industry's operational, environmental, and social challenges.Experience with digital communication strategies, including social media management and content creation.Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.Proficiency in English and SpanishAbility to adapt to a changing work environment.
