Description The mission of the Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Commercial Vehicle Sales Consultant comprises the sale of new and pre-owned Commercial Vehicles. This includes corporate fleet accounts and individual commercial customers in accordance with the forecasted profit and unit objectives.
The Commercial Sales Manager will analyze the market and suggest appropriate strategies to generate both profits and sales.
Responsibilities: Provide a consistently outstanding brand and customer experience through excellent preparation, attitude, and teamwork.Use excellent interpersonal skills, product knowledge, and sales training to ensure that all MB customers have a seamless sales experience.Assist customers in selecting/ordering Commercial Vehicles by understanding their business needs.Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting the sale of new and used light/medium commercial vehicles.Prospect for new and used commercial vehicle customers daily via telephone or in-person.Cold call new customers to increase Commercial Vehicle sales monthly.Sell all aspects of the dealership, including Sales, Parts, Collision, and Service.Manage the dealership's Sprinter and Metris inventory and inventory turn cycles.Prepare and provide the General Sales Manager with outside call reports, listings of prospects, quotes, and units available for sale, if applicable.Provide follow-up and ongoing service to the existing customer base.Demonstrate new and used vans to customers (may include test drives).Ensure accurate sales orders, secure deposits, and process paperwork according to established dealership policies.Log all sold vehicles in Quickbase, including deliveries for new and used Commercial Vehicles.Work all deals in Advent and mark sold units accordingly.Attend sales and training meetings as required.Continuously study vehicle and equipment specifications to improve product knowledge.Appraise used vehicles when necessary.Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.3+ years' previous parts administration/inventory experience.Must be able to work weekends and holidays, if necessary.Ability to withstand the physical demands of the job.Experience with CDK or other automotive software is a plus.General knowledge of processes, software, costs, and techniques to achieve maximum efficiency.Ability to commute into and out of Manhattan/New York City on a daily basis.OrganizationMercedes-Benz Manhattan, Inc.
