Responsible for assisting the Commercial Legal Team in executing commercial contracts at Ecolab for our North American market. In this role you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of contracts that support our commercial businesses, working with the business to resolve discrepancies, and providing guidance to limit liability and exposure to Ecolab. The candidate shall be highly motivated, capable of self-direction, able to work collaboratively, possess strong leadership qualities, take initiative on projects and apply sound judgment when solving problems.
Main Responsibilities: Review, edit and negotiate various contract types including those on customer forms. Communicate contract changes to sales managers. Collaborate with finance and business operations on contract reviews and provide guidance when necessary. Escalate contracts at an impasse to the appropriate attorney. Provide support to Commercial attorneys. Monitor contracts through the renewal process. Maintain data integrity of the Contract Lifecycle Management database. Job Qualifications: University diploma. 2+ years of experience creating and reviewing commercial contracts. Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management). Ability to uphold the strictest level of confidentiality and effectively manage sensitive information with professionalism and speed. Experience with commercial laws of the United States. In-house experience preferred. English fluency (other languages a plus). Strong organizational skills - ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities and geographies concurrently and prioritize to meet required timelines. Decisive decision-maker who understands global organizational impacts and has cultural awareness. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility to adapt and lead through change as business requirements evolve. Familiarity with multiple Ecolab Divisions preferred. Prior experience working with a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system preferred.
