We are looking for highly talented hands-on technical consulting architects who can lead complex projects to help our customers accelerate their journey to the cloud. Our consultants will collaborate with customers and partners on key engagements. You will work with the entire AWS organization to deliver proof-of-concept projects, perform enterprise portfolio assessments, review operational best practices, and conduct skills transfer workshops in areas such as migrations, applications, operations, archiving, disaster recovery, and IT transformation.
This is a customer-facing role. You could be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services as needed.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesWork with customers and partners to understand their business target outcomes and use your business and technical skills to design and build architecture solutions, which is catalyst for the cloud journey.Own and complete key tasks and deliverables, collaborating with others to define and implement optimal, complete solutions based on stakeholders' needs.Develop trusted strategic relationships with customer key stakeholders.Ensure a strong connection between delivery activities and business objectives.Work with AWS engineering teams to convey partner and enterprise customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps.Collaborate with AWS field sales, technical sales, training, and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS platform services.Travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of IT implementation experienceExperience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environmentsExperience leading the design, development, and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experienceExperience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologiesBachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related fieldExperience as a technical specialist in customer-facing rolesCustomer-facing skills to represent AWS well within the customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigationScripting and/or coding skillsGood verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations. Fluency in English and native language (Spanish)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of the primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3)Experience leading highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deploymentsExperience in large-scale migration - data center to data center or data center to cloud infrastructureExperience in automation through DevOps scripting (e.g., shell, python, ruby, powershell)Experience in Linux and Windows-based systems administration in a cloud or virtualized environmentExperience in an Architect role or similarExperience managing data center operations, including data assurance, monitoring, alerting, and notificationsOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
