The OpportunityAs a Cloud DevSecOps Senior Engineer, you'll ensure that security is seamlessly and effectively integrated with the software development lifecycle. By integrating security practices into the DevOps process, you help bridge the traditional gap between development, operations, and security teams, reducing vulnerabilities, mitigating risks, and enhancing the overall security posture of the organization's digital assets.
ResponsibilitiesBuild, integrate and maintain Takeda's DevSecOps Platform Capabilities including CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes), code quality/vulnerability scanning and container security platforms.Contribute to increasing developer agility across Takeda by focusing on providing a frictionless self-service experience via integrated tooling and processes; Work with Cybersecurity/Compliance to refine existing processes.Define a Traceability/Observability (T/O) framework by integrating APM instrumentation into code; Define T/O "building blocks" that can be consumed by product teams; Manage T/O capability roadmap to integrate new technologies.Build and maintain Takeda's Internal Developer Portal to streamline the product team developer experience; Define self-service building blocks for code, packages/libraries, CI/CD, Observability, TechDocs; Build patterns that allow product teams to self-register and collect DORA metrics, manage dependencies, track feature development.Focus on delivering solutions and integrations via automation; Incorporate security tooling and coding best practices into reusable CI/CD pipelines that will drive standardization across Takeda.Drive cultural change around DevSecOps practices, Agile, microservice-oriented architecture, containerization.Mentor product teams across Takeda to achieve their goals around multiple releases per day.Listen to the customer (our product teams), empathize, then provide high quality solutions that revolutionize how they deliver world-class solutions that serve our patients.Play a lead role in establishing and participating in Takeda's DevSecOps Community of Practice; Promote Takeda's DevSecOps ways of working and create linkages between product teams across the organization.Build relationships with Takeda's product teams across the organization; Provide mentorship around DevSecOps and Agile methodologies.Work with Enterprise Architecture to develop and promote reusable architectural patterns which include microservices best practices such as loose coupling, API standards, telemetry and observability, testing/validation, and robust documentation.Skills and QualificationsRequired
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related study, or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience spanning multiple IT disciplines, including systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, and integration.Strong experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, IAM, EC2, LBs, AWS Native CI/CD Services, S3).Highly proficient in provisioning AWS resources using Infrastructure as a code (IaC) with hands-on experience developing Cloud Formation Templates or Terraform.Hands on experience in system level scripting using BASH and/or PowerShell.Hands on programming skills in one or more high level languages like Java, Python, Golang, Node.js.Proficient in handling CI/CD integrations with GitHub, GitHub Actions or equivalent and deploying infrastructure and applications on AWS.Hands on experience with Container Orchestration and Security: Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS, Helm, ArgoCD, AquaSec, Quay.Expertise in Agile and DevSecOps methods/methodologies and tools.Excellent oral and written communication skills, business acumen, and enterprise knowledge.What Takeda's ICC Can Offer YouAt Takeda, you take the lead on building and shaping your own career.
