As the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at EdgeUno, you will play a crucial role in defining and implementing our technology strategy to improve operational efficiency managing IT, Software Development, System Administration, Datacenter and Platform Engineering, optimize business processes, and drive innovation within our services. Your vast expertise in telecommunications will be essential in leading the development and deployment of advanced network solutions to satisfy the changing demands of our diverse clientele.
Principal ResponsibilitiesTechnology Leadership and Strategy: Develop and communicate a comprehensive technology vision that is aligned with the overarching business objectives of EdgeUno. Collaborate with executive leadership to define and implement the technology road map, ensuring that it supports the growth and competitive advantage of the organization. Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration within the IT team.Telecommunications Knowledge: Utilize your extensive knowledge of telecommunications technologies and industry trends to design, implement, and manage innovative network solutions for EdgeUno's customers. Supervise the construction and operation of the telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring its high availability, dependability, and security.Data Center and Cloud-Based Services: To meet customer demands and industry standards, provide strategic direction for the design, deployment, and optimization of data center and cloud services. Develop scalable and efficient data center solutions in collaboration with the engineering team.Information Security and Compliance Requirements: Lead information security efforts by instituting best practices and robust security measures to safeguard the assets and customer data of EdgeUno. Ensure compliance with relevant information security and data privacy regulations and industry standards.Vendor and Partner Administration: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key technology vendors and partners to evaluate new solutions and remain abreast of industry trends. Contracts and service-level agreements should be negotiated to assure optimal pricing and service quality.Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop and administer the IT budget, ensuring that resources and technology investments are allocated cost-effectively. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.The prerequisitesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is required.Proven experience in senior IT leadership roles, with an emphasis on telecommunications and network administration.Knowledgeable of numerous telecommunications technologies, including data center infrastructure, cloud services, and network solutions.Ability to develop and implement technology strategies in line with business objectives.A comprehensive comprehension of information security best practices and regulatory compliance requirements.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the capacity to effectively collaborate across departments.Proven track record of leading innovation within an organization and managing large-scale undertakings.Proven expertise in vendor administration, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.Desirable are certifications in pertinent IT and telecommunications domains.Professional knowledge of English, Spanish, or Portuguese.Please submit your resume only in the English language; resumes submitted in any other language will not be reviewed.
