We are looking for an energetic, technically-focused Body Shop Technician to help us redefine the car-servicing experience. Apply now! The Body Shop Technician will be responsible for repairing damaged bodies of vehicles and/or parts in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards.
Prepare and repair vehicles per estimate according to manufacturer standards.De-trim, disassemble, and repair vehicles with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.Maintain/assist with identifying and sourcing parts and materials.Work as a team player to ensure on-time delivery of vehicles.Meet or exceed the Collision Center's requirements for productivity.Maintain tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting body shop operations.Knowledge of manufacturers' repair processes & adherence to Asbury Automotive collision's technical repair processes.Positive attitude and a 'fix it right the first time' mentality.ASE certification & I-Car certifications are a plus!Previous automotive technician or military equivalent experience preferred.This position will require extended periods of bending, kneeling, standing, sitting, and squatting.This position will require lifting, carrying, and pushing materials (over 50lbs).Ability to withstand fumes/chemicals and changes in weather conditions (within reason).Must be able to wear protective equipment including a respirator.Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age.Must have a valid Driver's License.Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test).Company Benefits: Pay and Recognition: Pay Range: $15 - $25/hrSemi-monthly payPaid holidays & paid time offDeferred Holiday Pay MatchPaid trainingInsurance / Retirement: Insurance: medical, vision, dental, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity plans.Flex spending accountsShort-term and Long-term disability plansLife Insurance401k with company matchLearning, Tuition Assistance, and Career Development: Digital career path tool to assist with career development.Continuous training through Asbury's Internal Learning Management System.Professional growth and development opportunities: Employee assistance program.Employee discounts on parts and service repairs.Opportunities to join our community service initiatives, which include paid volunteer hours.Asbury Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer.
