Position OverviewThe Account Manager is responsible for following up on outstanding quotes, holding account review meetings, keeping in touch with the clients, and growing the wallet share of existing accounts. The account management role develops a close relationship with customers, is aware of the politics and any organizational changes that may affect our business, foresees early warning signs of dissatisfaction, gains visibility into additional growth opportunities, and helps foster and forecast upcoming business.
The goal is to become a strategic partner with deep knowledge of the account to help our customers solve both their known needs, as well as those they may not even be aware they have or have expressed yet, while influencing their buying decisions.
Position Responsibilities:Being the account's leader and point-of-contact for internal and key client stakeholders. Steering the internal dedicated account team consisting of project managers, solution engineers, quality language staff, and others by example – with a sense of ownership, accountability, responsiveness, precision, and strategic thinking.Management and growth of the relationship with the client through daily interactions by phone, email, via TDC technology, as well as formal online meetings. This includes leading initiatives such as data analysis, reporting, and hosting client business reviews and meetings.Working with the client and the internal teams overseeing the full life-cycle of projects, managing expectations, account and project scope, budgeting and forecasts, and overall execution keeping profitability and growth.Manage feedback following project delivery to build KPIs and ROI reports as part of the accounting framework. Regularly assess the account and client's situation to proactively propose improved solutions.Support new business efforts by taking an active role in sales initiatives such as sales meetings, calls, RFPs, and networking events. Take a proactive role in learning about clients' industry, business needs, and company culture. Work on accounts' growth in collaboration with sales executives.Basic Requirements:2-5 years' experience in existing account sales and/or account management in the localization industry.Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, terminology, policies, and procedures within the localization and interpreting industry.Demonstrate an understanding of the localization sales cycle and how to map organizations in regard to business units, stakeholders, sponsors, and decision makers.Proven ability to prospect new contacts within existing client accounts.Proven ability to upsell and cross-sell to grow wallet share.Work closely with Project Managers to provide the best client service.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in order to present and find opportunities to propose our Translation services.Keen sense of urgency, motivation, and professionalism.Ability to work well individually and as a member of a team.Proactive self-starter with solid follow-through and multi-tasking capabilities.Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload.Excellent presentation skills.Excellent English (verbal and written) communication skills.Strong internet research skills.Comfortable with technology including proficiency utilizing enterprise CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, as well as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.Laptop or PC with excellent internet connection.Preferred Education:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
