Purpose of the Position: Under general supervision, this position is responsible for being the primary IT/SAP application contact for Battery and other business partners and to ensure that business-oriented end-to-end IT solutions are provided. They work with limited supervision to provide consulting, support the request and demand management, and steer the solution implementation for IT applications. This position may act as a coach/mentor for junior specialists, and support training of users in the systems.
Essential Functions: Local Application Management:
- Translate business processes needs into IT specifications in collaboration with Central IT DevOps teams
- Analyze the feasibility and priority of workflow changes and IT specifications with the DevOps team and Solution Architect
- Participate in testing of new software applications/features, report local defects
- Ensure adequate support from all partners and internal organization is provided
- Support incident management and root cause analysis
- Act as key support for complex problem management for application operations
- Act as the interdepartmental interface between the user and systems programming and operations
- Understand the core processes supported by local application and future needs of the Business
- Identify and analyze business needs, conduct requirements gathering, and define scope and objectives
- Make recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology
- Translating business requirements into application requirements
- Training the business partners in the use and interpretation of information systems reports, report capabilities, and limitations
- Support business partners in data analytics efforts- understand data sources and provide aggregated data for analysis
Project Management:
- Plan, coordinate and implement specific IT Application and Technology & business projects
- Ensure performance quality and cost efficiency of own projects
- Ensure service and response targets are understood and achieved with efficient resource utilization
- Address project demands proactively
- Collaborate closely with the Solution Designer
- Delivery of IT & business projects
- Progress reports and risk analysis
- Control of project scope and budget
Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources. Work safely 100% of the time.

Qualifications: Education: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Computer Engineering/Computer Science or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Relevant professional experience in the following area(s): Business, technology or technology related fields
Requirements for Job Levels: Entry Level: Co-op/internship and/or up to 2 years of relevant professional experience.
Experienced Level: A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Senior Level: A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Expert Level: A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc:
- Experience in SAP
- Business Process consulting experience
- Knowledge of IT (technologies, architectures, etc.)
- Knowledge in business processes & business strategy
- Experience in developing IT strategies as well as business plans
- Experience in IT Service Management and knowledge of tools (JIRA, PowerBI, etc.)
- Knowledge of key automation technology trends & application (RPA - robotic process automation, Data Analytics, etc.)
- Agile project management methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
- Knowledge of data discovery, data preparation, and data analysis tools
- Knowledge of Data life cycle from discovery, loading, cleaning, transforming, managing, analyzing, and making such data easily accessible
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Business Objects, QlikView, MS Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Ability to identify and implement alternative process management solutions
- Experience in the moderation and conflict resolution
- Communicates clearly, precisely, convincingly and appropriately to the situation
- Sovereignty in dealing with stakeholders in an intercultural project environment
