The Role: As an Azure Database Engineer, you'll join our Development team to design and manage database objects, write stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Administer Azure Data Factory pipelines and ETL processes, ensuring database availability, performance, and resolving bottlenecks.
Implement Azure best practices for performance, security, backup, and disaster recovery with comprehensive monitoring.
Proactively analyze and optimize DB design, code, and processes, proposing automation to reduce maintenance and costs.
Collaborate with QA for test case design, Data Analytics for data processing, Sales for client management, and Knowledge teams for content management.
Track tasks in Azure DevOps, participate in quarterly and sprint planning, and contribute to code reviews.
Stay current with self-paced technical training on tools, best practices, and new approaches.
Requirements: SQL Server administration, 90% in Azure, 10% on-prem.Proficiency in Transact-SQL, DDL.Knowledge of Azure database administration tools, Azure Data Factory.Strong knowledge of relational database design and data modeling.Analytical skills to enable quick analysis of complex datasets and data relationships.Proficiency in SQL performance tuning approaches and tools.Documentation skills to capture and visualize data relationships and ETL processes.Communication skills to effectively explain code and ETL processes in both technical and business terms.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Knowledge of automation scripting via Powershell, Python or Bash is a plus.Knowledge of management of Azure storage accounts and vnets is a plus.Knowledge of programming in Visual Studio (.NET C#) is a plus.Knowledge of Azure DevOps is a plus.Knowledge of Sitecore publishing process is a plus.Bachelors Degree in Computer Science.Azure Database Engineer - LS - 021224 Wakapi Web
