Description for nternal Candidates
The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co ("JPMC") is responsible for providing legal services to the Corporation and is organized by practice groups that generally conform to the Corporation's lines of business ("LOBs") and corporate staff areas, allowing the legal staff to work closely with specific groups on a daily basis.
We are currently hiring a highly skilled lawyer for the Legal-North America Loan Origination and Syndication Group
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with the review, drafting and discussion of non-disclosure agreements, non-reliance letters, collateral release agreements and, depending on volume bilateral loan agreements, security agreements, guarantees, amendments and various other transactional documents Work with the Bank's Office of the Secretary to generate or obtain supporting corporate documents as required for transactions, such as powers of attorney, incumbency certificates and other similar documents Prepare and file various UCC financing statements and conduct UCC lien searches Assist with other special projects (as needed) Required Skills:
Law degree. In addition, the candidates must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements,including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employment Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written - required Prior experience working on legal documentation governed by U.S. state law (such as NY) - preferable Excellent organizational skills – required Self-starter and pro-active – required Working knowledge of legal search engines, including Westlaw/Lexis Nexis – considered as a plus All candidates for roles in the Legal Department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review and background check prior to commencement of employment About Us J.P.
