Associate Attorney - Private Labor and EmploymentA law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to enhance its private labor and employment team in Cerritos. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in general litigation and a specialization in labor law. The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional legal support while advocating for clients in various employment-related matters.
Duties Manage diverse labor and employment cases, including class action lawsuits and single-plaintiff claims.Offer comprehensive legal advice and counsel on employment-related issues to clients.Conduct discovery processes, including drafting motions, legal briefs, and managing depositions, both as a conducting attorney and defense.Participate in evidentiary hearings, status conferences, and effectively argue dispositive motions in court settings.Assist in preparing for trial, including strategizing case presentation and supporting documentation.Perform thorough legal research and produce high-quality written work to support case strategies.Requirements 3-5 years of legal experience in general litigation and/or labor and employment law.Familiarity with class action and representative legal actions.Proven ability to provide effective legal counsel on employment law matters.Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications Admitted to practice law in California and in good standing.Skills Strong legal research and writing abilities.Excellent litigation skills, with the capacity to manage depositions and argue effectively in court.Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.Exceptional communication skills for effective interactions with clients and colleagues.
