How you'll play your part In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out varied tasks to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial data and undertake a number of reconciliations related to the company accounts to ensure statutory and company month-end reporting deadlines are met.
Main Accountabilities Responsible for the daily cash management function for Mercedes-Benz Financial Services UK Ltd (MBFS), including UK subsidiaries. Preparing the calculation of the short term daily cash flow forecast, amending models for longer-term forecasting, daily inter account cash movements and urgent payments (CHAPS).Responsible for the month end SAP reconciliation for a variety of balance sheet areas.Responsible for the monthly reconciliation of SAP payroll and pension general ledger accounts for the MBFS business, within tight reporting deadlines.Supporting the Accounting Services team by monitoring, investigating and resolving aged items and issues on third party accounts receivable/accounts payable.Assist in the quarterly design and testing of internal compliance systems within the financial accounting department, to meet tight deadlines specified by head office, with focus on the area of treasury.Supporting the Financial Accounts team by monitoring, investigating and resolving aged balance sheet items.Responsible for setting up suppliers and liaising with the Business to provide support, resolve queries and request any additional information required.Assisting with the preparation of the statutory accounts.Undertake ad-hoc tasks/analysis as requested from management or the team including project work depending on priorities during the year.About you Excel (good knowledge).SAP (good knowledge would be advantageous but training will be given).Ability to work under pressure and achieve results whilst promoting company behavioural values.Flexible and able to multi-task to meet specified deadlines.A strong team player with the ability to learn tasks quickly and make appropriate decisions.Possess analytical, investigative and strong reconciliation skills.Possess good time-management skills, with own responsibility for planning and prioritising workload the majority of the time.Effective communicator to Finance and non-Finance staff of all levels.What's in it for you?
