Assembly Planning Project Group Leader (PGL) for Process Group : Mercedes-Benz Group AG
Description
Tasks:
• Coordination and operating of new models interdisciplinary production preparation
for assembly process planning of a defined planning area (Trim, Chassis or Aggregates/Doors)
• Planning of assembly sequences, working processes, production resources, manufacturing times for assembly systems according to defined goals, premises and guidelines
• Checking, adjusting and correcting of technical documentation and specifications
• Preparing of cost comparison and feasibility calculations
• Collaboration with relevant stakeholders (Series Planning, Module/Central Planning, Equipment Planning, Production, Logistics, Pilot plant, etc.) in BBAC and M
• Overall responsibility of the entire assembly process and Change Management process (until PT2) of the respective area and interface between internal departments and external partners, as well as Germany.
• Cross-functional / interdisciplinary connecting function within the trim area and link to supporting departments (special tools and torque tools planning, …) and central planning in Germany
• Lead function of PGLs and direct support of TPL Process, as well as L4 in project related organizational tasks.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor up, Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or similar education
Experience
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in Assembly shop planning (preferrable in automotive industry)
• Experience in new-type planning and production ramp ups preferable
Specific knowledge
• Working experience in a multi-national corporate environment preferable
• Goal-oriented, purposefulness, sense of responsibility mindset. Self dependent, customer-oriented working attitude
• Comprehension and decisiveness skills. Coordination, cross-functional and cultural communication and team work skills
• Intercultural sensitivity, experience in working/studying abroad preferable
• Advanced skills in computing, e.g. Microsoft office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Skills in line balancing software (e.g. Proplan.TOP/ILB) preferable
• MTM certification preferable. Ergonomics certification preferable
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese
Other:
Assignment requires substantial international and domestic travel.
