Job DescriptionThe role is responsible for contributing to the Risk Prevention management of the project, executing on-site implementation, monitoring preventive and mitigatory controls related to Occupational Health and Safety, guided by both the applicable Barrick standards for various activities carried out, and the Argentine regulatory framework applicable to all aspects of risk to people (actions or substandard conditions associated with physical, chemical, biological, and psychosocial agents).
ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with the applicable local regulatory framework, in accordance with the progress level of each project, actively promoting and supporting adherence to laws, regulations, and health and safety standards, as well as Barrick's internal health and safety policies and standards.Recognize, assess, and manage fieldwork risks related to accidents and, together with Health and Hygiene, professional diseases, based on operational risk management and timely controls (both in planning and on-site).Implement risk prevention measures aimed at preventing improper actions with accident risks, protecting the life and health of company workers.Conduct educational actions for risk prevention and promote worker training through induction sessions, among other related activities.Provide technical advice to joint committees, supervisors, and technical management teams.Keep an updated general database of safety training, competence, and refresher programs.Record data and contribute to the preparation of statistics and reports for the area.Supervise contracting companies in the application of safety procedures and standards required for the proper performance of contracted services.Ensure that both company staff, contractors, and external services comply with Barrick H&S standards and local regulations.Ensure that all necessary documentation for personnel is in place for the execution of the projects.Oversee and supervise various projects and the assigned safety and health teams in the field.Manage the H&S Plan through the area's supervisory lines.Advise operational areas on company staff and contractors, focusing on the prevention of injuries, material losses, professional diseases, and coordinating emergency response management, ensuring safe working conditions in accordance with corporate policies.QualificationsProfessional title related to the area of performance, such as: Technician in Occupational Health and Safety (or higher).At least 4 years of experience in similar roles in Mining.Knowledge of: Electrical installations, earthmoving, operation of heavy equipment, underground mining.Availability to work in a shift/roster system in a high-altitude geographical area.Intermediate level of Office tools.Intermediate level of English, DesirableClass B1 or B2 driver's license.OtherTemporary (Eventual) Contract
