We are looking for an Android Framework Engineer to join our team in Argentina and support one of our clients.
Role Responsibilities Collaborate with system engineers and software experts to develop car computer solutions in early phases. Analyze and profile Android framework, system applications, or services. Identify and resolve issues at the AOSP framework level. Improve stability and optimize critical operations of the Android framework. Review interfaces and contribute to Android and company-owned frameworks. Align technically with suppliers and development partners. Implement cutting-edge approaches for top-tier infotainment systems. Additional Responsibilities Create technical specifications and documentation. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables independently. Track and review system issues and tickets. Report status to stakeholders, both domestic and international. Mentor junior developers on best practices and design patterns. Required Skills Expert knowledge of the Android Framework, AOSP platform architecture, and build systems. Experience with Android Architecture, especially Linux Kernel, HAL, Treble. 3+ years modifying Android framework components and system services. 5+ years with object-oriented designs. Proficient in C++, Java, or Kotlin. Solid experience with software lifecycle methodologies. Cross-team resource management to achieve project goals. Desired Skills Knowledge of Android Automotive OS. Experience with Google Services for Android (GAS). Familiarity with CDD and related test suites (e.g., Compatibility Test Suite). Agile development practices and tools (e.g., SAFe, Confluence, Jira). Leadership experience in small software teams within the automotive industry. Expertise in optimizing Linux/Android application performance. Hands-on knowledge of hypervisors in automotive environments.
