JOB SUMMARY Assist in developing the resident activity programs of the community. Conduct activities in accordance with direction from the Life Enrichment Coordinator. The person in this position is responsible for carrying out assigned duties in accordance with current federal and state regulations and established company policies.

Maintain a balance of recreational activities.
Facilitate group activities, one-on-one visits, and community events that engage residents, families, and team members.Help coordinate scheduled activities with other departments. Communicate residents' programs to residents, families, volunteers, and community staff. Prepare vibrant person-centered monthly Life Enrichment calendars reflecting residents' interests and preferences.
Organize activity supplies and equipment. Prepare monthly reports on the progress of the activity program as directed by the Life Enrichment Coordinator.
Invite and assist residents within the community to and from activities.Participate in trainings as requested. Recognize resident changes that may require nursing intervention and report to the Wellness Director. Maintain professional appearance, communication, and confidentiality.
Supervise volunteers as necessary. May assist residents on outings, which may include driving company vehicles.

Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED.
Job Knowledge: Awareness of special needs and wellness dimensions for older adults; techniques to engage residents with different interests and abilities. Sensitivity to residents' feelings; ability to lead crafts, games, discussions, and other activities.
Other: Enjoy working with seniors, display empathy, creativity, friendliness, resourcefulness, and enthusiasm. Must have a clean driving record.
